She woke up with a groan as if she was in deep pain. Afterwards, she began to pray as never before in recent times. Her eyes were red and in tears. I just knew she saw another vision. She saw herself in a congregation of the children of God worshiping in a conference. The glory of God came down is such a way she has hardly seen.

Then all of a sudden, a woman brought in nail paint and began to put in on other women and distraction hit the camp. People were doing whatever they wanted while the worship was going on, then in an instant the glory of God left the camp but the people didn’t know. There was a lot of over familiarity with God to a point of people being gods in themselves. The glory of the Lord was no more there but the people had no idea the Lord had departed.

In ancient Israel, there was a time when the glory of God had also departed from his people. At about the time, the priest Eli’s daughter in-law was to give birth to a child. On discovering the ark of covenant was taken from them in battle, she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken. (1 Samuel 4: 21-22)

The Church today seems to be experiencing an ICHABOD. To so many people in Church, everything seems to be going on well, but God seem to be far from her. The vision as seen above is telling us that the Church has lost it and it’s time to return.

Good Church auditoriums, great music, organized worship, eloquent preaching, and money in the Church and pockets of congregants is not a proof of the glory of God. With all the good things that seems to be going on in the Church, the Church seems to becoming weaker because the man of God now competes with God and assumes Gods glory.

Our Churches are ICHABODs, we thus need to put aside our over familiarity with God and seek his face that his glory may return. For the Lord never shares his glory with any man.
